Miami beach is a great
place for a family vacation, resort destination, or adult party
vacation. As a bonus Miami & Miami Beach is also known to be one of
the BEST, and easiest
places in the world to charter fish.
Just one and a half miles offshore is the world famous Gulf stream
current. This warm water north running current provides us with Sailfish, Marlin, Swordfish, Dolphin
(mahi-mahi), Little Tunny, Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo without ever leaving the sight of land!
Miami is also host to many world renown fishing tournaments. We
also have many natural and
artificial reefs that are homes to Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Almaco's Kingfish, Barracuda, and many other
species that live on our reefs.
Only 10 minutes to
the Gulf Stream & lines in
Fishing styles and techniques are dictated by current conditions –
including: wind direction, temperature, current and water color. Our
favorite techniques are Kite fishing, trolling, live bait, jigging, &
bottom fishing, in the Gulf Stream and around and on our many wrecks & reefs.
The temperate tropical waters off Miami
Beach hold fish year round so there are always great fishing
opportunities and adventure! Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Kings,
Amberjack, Swordfish, and even Marlin are available year round !
The
ALL NEW custom built 57' Spellbound
The
Spellbound is a custom built 57' 18.5' wide fully equipped Sport
Fishing Yacht. She was built by Newton Boats under the supervision
of the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The Spellbound is fully
yacht finished offering our guest A/C at sea, full bath, and galley.
Twin diesel powered & twin generators make the Spellbound a most
comfortable and safe platform. We are USCG Licensed & Inspected to
carry over 20 passengers. Under the guide lines of the Coast Guard
we are equipped with the best and latest life saving and navigational
equipment.
The Spellbound is equipped
with all the latest in entertainment electronics. The saloon is
completely upholstered and hosts a 42" flat screen HDTV, with DVD, CD,
satellite radio, stereo, & IPOD interface. We are WIFI ready at
sea !
We are a test platform for
SIMRAD &
Navico
electronics, so we are fully equipped with the best navigational and
fish finding equipment. We have at the captains disposal two 1kw
Sonar's, a 25kw "bird finding" Radar, two chart plotters, two GPS
receivers with WAS, AIS, VHF, integrated auto pilot, Satellite Weather,
on board weather station, sea surface temp & more.
Our fishing equipment starts with our 30+ Tuna
Tower, 42' Outriggers, two 200 gallon live wells and a third 60 gallon
live well & two down riggers. Our fishing rod collection includes
two electric kite reels and electric reels for bottom fishing &
Swordfish fishing. We have a complete set of tournament rigged
tackle from 6lb spin to 130 big game and everything in between
Our crews are professional, courteous, & helpful... attending to you, and your party’s
every need. We will explain all of the techniques that we will be using, while
teaching you and your guest all that will be needed to have a fun,
exiting, & may be a little educational day.
Fishing Report
11/20/09 - 11/26/09
Fall fishing
started off with a bang! The first cold front brought with it lots
of Sailfish & the haulover area was the hot spot this month. We
also saw nice gaffer size dolphin (mahi) with a 20+ pound Bull Dolphin
in the mix. The King Fish have also moved in with lots of school
fish and a few 20-30 Lb fish mixed in. Out side the edge we have
seen a mix of small Tuna (Black Fin & Skip Jack) and the occasional
Wahoo. The deeper wrecks have had a few Black Grouper, some really
big Golden Amberjacks and a few giant Barracuda. The Sharks have begun
their migration to the warmer Gulf Stream waters of Miami. We have
seen and caught a few Hammer Head Sharks & smaller Silky Sharks.
